We are so excited to have you join us for a week of long days, hard work, and lots of laughter at Junior Final Cut 2024! Please read through the ENTIRE packet of information carefully and complete all necessary items.

All required paperwork must be completed no later than May 31, 2024. All paperwork for our 2024 event will be sent via Google form. Please be prepared to upload a copy of your insurance card (front & back).

General Schedule
6/29/24
  • Check-in Time: 9:00am
  • This morning will begin with registration and a meeting. All dancers are required to check in before the meeting. We invite any and all parents and teachers accompanying dancers to attend the meeting as well!
  • Following the meeting will be a placement audition. Dancers will be asked to learn and perform a series of short combinations that demonstrate several different styles of dancing—jazz, contemporary, hip hop, etc. Our choreographers will then cast the dancers in the pieces that they will perform in at the Final Cut Performance.
  • After casting has been announced, the rest of the day will be devoted to rehearsals and class.
6/30/24-7/3/24
  • Call time: TBD (approx. 8:00am) ready to dance!
  • These days will be devoted to classes and rehearsals at our rehearsal venue, the Glendale Hilton.
  • There will be designated times for lunch and dinner breaks.
  • Daily schedules will be released the night prior.
  • Release time: TBD (approx. 8:00pm)
7/2/24
  • Call Time: TBD
  • This morning will be dedicated to final rehearsals.
  • Following final rehearsals, all dancers will partake in a dress rehearsal at our rehearsal hotel, the Glendale Hilton.
  • After the dress rehearsal, the National Finals Bus will depart for our performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Any dancers, parents, and/or teachers who bought tickets for this bus will depart this afternoon, time TBD.

7/3/24 SHOW DAY!
  • The Performance Day Bus will depart this morning, traveling to the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Any dancers, parents, and/or teachers who bought tickets for this bus will depart this morning, time TBD.
  • Our Final Cut tech rehearsal will be at the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, this evening, directly following the conclusion of the National Finals competition, time TBD.
  • Dancers should be prepared to go directly from tech rehearsal to places for the Final Cut Performance. The performance will directly follow the tech rehearsal.
  • The Final Cut Performance time is TBD, but typically falls between 7:00pm and 8:00pm.
  • Following the Final Cut Performance, the Performance Day Bus will depart the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, to return to the rehearsal hotel, the Glendale Hilton. Any dancers, parents, and/or teachers who bought tickets for this bus will depart for their round trip, time TBD.

Final Cut Tickets
  • Ticket price: $25
    • Tickets will be available to purchase through www.ladancemagic.com, at the rehearsal venue during Final Cut, and at the performance venue before the show.
    • Parents, teachers, friends, and all other guests will be required to purchase a ticket in order to watch the Final Cut Performance
    • Dancers will not need to purchase a ticket as they will be dancing.
  • Final Cut Performance tickets are subject to selling out and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Studio owners/teachers registered for National Finals 2024 will receive a free Final Cut ticket.

 

Final Cut Merchandise
  • Prior to the event, registered dancers will receive an email to purchase Final Cut merchandise.
  • This will be the only merchandise order placed, so please respond promptly if purchasing merchandise.
  • If available, a limited amount of extra items will be sold during the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

LADM Company
  • Dancers auditioning for the 2024-2025 LA DanceMagic Company will be provided with a wristband at Final Cut registration that they will wear for the duration of the event.
  • If you wish to audition for the LA DanceMagic Company please be sure to select this audition option on your Google form that will be sent upon initial online registration.
  • You will find a SAMPLE LA DanceMagic Company Contract among the other forms you download. This is a SAMPLE form only for you to review and DOES NOT need to be filled out or sent back.
  • Every dancer auditioning for the 2024/2025 LA DanceMagic Company will receive an email with their acceptance results in August 2024. For dancers accepted into the 2024-2025 LA DanceMagic Company, official contracts will be sent out with acceptance emails.

 

Performance Pieces
  • Each dancer will be cast in a minimum of two pieces to perform in the Final Cut Performance.
  • Dancers will have rehearsals for their designated pieces throughout the duration of the intensive.
  • Dancers arriving late or with conflicts, will not be guaranteed to be in two pieces.

 

Costumes
  • A mandatory $40 costume fee will be included in the invoice sent via PayPal. This costume fee covers the finale costume which will be provided. Sizing for this costume will be based on the sizes provided by each registered participant.
  • Dancers will provide their own costumes for the Final Cut Performance.
  • Closer to the start of Final Cut, the LADM office will send out a list of costumes from the choreographers.
  • Please bring any items you have. Our advice is to bring with you what you already own. Once you are cast into your designated pieces, you will have a better idea of your specific costume needs. There are plenty of shopping options near the Glendale Hilton.
  • Dancers should plan on being cast in both the opening and closing numbers.

 

Classes
  • When not in designated rehearsals, dancers will attend classes throughout the intensive.

 

Lunch & Dinner
  • Lunch and dinner breaks will be scheduled each day. The times will vary and be released the day prior.
  • The Glendale Hilton will provide daily lunch & dinner menus with options for dancers to purchase.
  • In addition, there are food options within driving distance as well as a Coffee Bean, Trader Joes, and Walgreens within walking distance of the rehearsal venue.
  • Outside food will not be allowed in the lobby or the rehearsal area, but there will be a designated/outdoor eating area.

 

Dancers Participating in LADM National Finals 2024
  • Final Cut does not interfere with participation in LADM National Finals (this includes participation in the MP Experience, LADM Company, or any other National Finals events).
  • Dancers are able to, and are encouraged to, purchase a National Finals Bus ticket during online checkout for Final Cut. This bus ticket will allow them to be transported to the LADM National Finals venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, on July 2nd in order to prepare for the first day of National Finals on July 2nd.  The National Finals bus will arrive before the start of any scheduled competition, MP Experience events, or any LADM Company 23-24 requirements.
  • Magic Performers & 2023-2024 LADM Company members are required to check in at the Hyatt Regency Orange County on July 2nd. Dancers who have purchased a National Finals Bus ticket will arrive in plenty of time for their required check-in times.
  • Competition will start July 2nd.

 

Payment
  • An initial non-refundable deposit of $350 will be required when registering online through the LADM website. This deposit is to hold the dancer’s spot.
  • Once the remaining registration process has been completed, via the Google form that will be emailed upon online registration being completed, an invoice will be sent for the remaining balance.
  • The PayPal invoice will be sent to the parent’s email that is listed on the Google Form.
  • This PayPal invoice will include the following:
    • Remaining tuition balance
    • $40 Final Cut costume fee
    • $40 Company audition fee (if applicable)
    • National Finals Day bus ticket(s)
    • Performance Day bus ticket(s)
  • Payment must be paid in full no later than 5/31/2024.

Bus Ticket Options and Transportation

Final Cut participants will require transportation from our rehearsal location, the Glendale Hilton, to our performance location, Hyatt Regency Orange County, during the week of Final Cut. Please read all transportation options and information below.

Bus tickets can be purchased by selecting your transportation option on the Google form sent via email once online registration and deposit is submitted. Once chosen, our office will send an invoice via PayPal to the email address listed at the top of the Google form. Bus tickets are non-refundable and not transferable. Please be mindful of which bus you purchase tickets for.

National Finals Bus
  • Ticket Price: $40 (before 5/31/24) / $50 (starting 6/1/24)
  • This bus will take a one-way trip from the rehearsal venue, the Glendale Hilton, to the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County on July 2nd, 2024.
  • Departure time for this bus is TBD, but will depart immediately following the completion of the dress rehearsal at the rehearsal venue on July 2nd.
  • This bus will arrive at the LADM National Finals venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, in time for LADM Company and Magic Performer check-in times.
  • This bus is recommended for any dancer who is on the 2023-2024 LADM Company, participating in the National Finals MP Experience, or competing in National Finals Competition day one.

 

Performance Day Bus
  • Ticket Price: $55 (before 5/31/24)/ $65 (starting 6/1/24)
  • This bus will take a round-trip from the rehearsal venue, the Glendale Hilton, to the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, and back to the rehearsal venue, the Glendale Hilton, on July 3rd, 2024.
  • The Departure time to the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, for this bus is TBD on July 3rd, but it will arrive at the performance venue with plenty of time for dancers to prepare for their tech rehearsal that evening.
  • The Departure time back to the rehearsal venue, the Glendale Hilton, for this bus is TBD, but will be immediately following the completion of the Final Cut Performance.
  • This bus is recommended for people not participating in LADM National Finals and who do not plan on staying in Anaheim after the Final Cut Performance.
  • Please note: This bus takes a round trip. All people with Performance Day Bus tickets will be required to be on the bus on the way to and from the performance day venue, unless otherwise noted.

 

Personal Transportation
  • Dancers have the option to provide their own transportation to the performance venue, the Hyatt Regency Orange County. If choosing this option, dancers will be released after the final dress rehearsal at the rehearsal venue on July 2nd and be required to get themselves to the performance day venue in time for the Final Cut tech rehearsal on July 3rd.
  • If you choose this option, LADM will not be responsible for dancers between the conclusion of the dress rehearsal on July 2nd to the start of the tech rehearsal on July 3rd.

 

Additional Bus Tickets
  • National Finals Bus Ticket Price: $40 (before 5/31/24) / $50 (starting 6/1/24)
  • Performance Day Bus Ticket Price: $55 (before 5/31/24)/ $65 (starting 6/1/24)
  • Additional bus tickets for friends, family, or teachers traveling with a Final Cut dancer will be available for purchase for either bus.
  • Additional tickets can be purchased online during registration checkout.
  • Additional ticket purchasers will be required to check-in with their dancer for each bus.
