Can parents watch?

Absolutely! Parents can purchase a general observer band prior to the event through their studio to watch classes. Observer bands are for parents or non-dancers ONLY attending with a registered student. Our general observer bands will allow access into our Senior Room, Teen Room, Junior Room & Magic Mini Room during classes however, observers are not allowed in our Teacher Room or during scholarship auditions. General observer bands will also be on sale at our event and can be purchased by visiting the LADM Booth. However we do suggest purchasing these bands prior to the event to guarantee your spot, bands sold at the event are subject to selling out and cannot be guaranteed. Dancers registered in our Magic Mini room will receive ONE FREE MAGIC MINI OBSERVER BAND. This observer band will only allow access into our Magic Mini room, parents are able to upgrade this band to a general observer band by visiting our LADM Booth. Competition is open and does not require the purchase of any bands or tickets. So please, invite your family and friends to join us and enjoy our competition. Not able to join us for classes or competition, join us for the LADM Faculty Show! This is open and does not require a band to observe. Join us for Faculty performances, showcase finalists, scholarships, awards and more!

Where can I see a schedule for the weekend?

Weekend schedules can be located by visiting your city page. Schedules are guaranteed one week prior to the event. Schedules will include class times, competitions times and other important information. Be sure to download a print a copy of the schedule to bring with you during the event. How do I join the LA Dance Magic Company?

Interested in joining dancers from around the country to train alongside our LADM Faculty? All auditions for our Senior Company, Men’s Company, Pro-Track program and Junior Company take place at LADM’s Final Cut! Join us for Final Cut and audition to be a part of our LADM Company.

Can my dancer compete a solo if they are not registered in a group routine?

In order for a dancer to compete a solo in our regular competition dancers must be registered in group routine. Group routines include: Small Groups, Lines, Extended Lines & Productions. Dancers not registered in a group routine that still wish to perform a solo may register a solo for exhibition only. Exhibition routines will still perform during competition and will receive a video critique from our judges. However, these routines will not receive a score and will not be announced at awards.

Can I order pictures from competition of my dancer?

LA DanceMagic is happy to have Shutter Storm Media join us in every city to take care of all your photo & video needs. To view and purchase any photos or video please visit their website: www.shutterstormmedia.com. Just a reminder photo & video are strictly prohibited during competition and in the dressing room area, this is for the safety of your dancers and to protect the hard work of your choreographers and teachers.

My child won a scholarship at LA DanceMagic, now what?

Congratulations! Please be sure to read and follow ALL instructions printed on the back of your scholarship. Scholarships are attached to the registration account that your dancer was registered through. If a dancer won a scholarship with their studio but would like to attend as an independent or vice versa you will need to call our LADM office to transfer this scholarship. Is Convention required in order to compete?

Yes, dancers must be registered for convention in order to compete in the LADM competition.

Can I register my dancer as an independent?

Dancers may register with their studio or as an independent using our online registration system. To create an independent registration account please visit our registration page.

Where can I find pricing?

All pricing can be found online by visiting our Competition & Convention info pages. Please note that online pricing does not include any additional administrative fees charged by your studio.
