Happy New Year!

It’s Monday, January 4, 2010…wow!  We’re probably all feeling the same things right about now.  Excited…a new start; hopeful…this is going to be a better year in every way; overwhelmed…so much to get done; and confused…how’d it get to be 2010??

I’ve decided not to think too much about any of those things.  I’ve decided to just do the best I can at whatever it is that I’m doing!  I’m going to take opportunities that are presented…sometimes good and sometimes not so good…to improve, to learn something, to teach something, to make someone’s life better.  People don’t always know when those things are happening, but I think that’s because we don’t pay close enough attention.  Will I always succeed at my goal…not a chance…but I can try…and ultimately, that IS the goal.

That dumb old saying…”it’s the little things that count”…not so dumb.  Our days are filled with hundreds of little things…hundreds of opportunities to be able to make a difference.  And it’s ok to notice when we ARE making a difference…it’s OK to feel good about it.

It all sounds really simplistic, doesn’t it…pretty basic.  But the simple stuff is definitely what it’s all about.

I hope you’re feeling great about today!  Get to work and enjoy…your family, your job, yourself.

Wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2010.

My very best to you,
Jackie

Dear Friends,

Hope your holidays have been everything you wanted.  We’ve been spending time with our families and friends and, of course,  gearing up for January!  We’re so looking forward to getting back on convention…lots of great surprises!  We want to send all our love and gratitude to our amazing studios, dancers and their families.  We’re taking a minute to remember all our blessings…you are definitely among them.  Have a safe and happy New Year’s!
