Last weekend in Dallas was an absolute blast! It might have been raining and gloomy outside but the dancing going on inside was on fire, that’s for sure!
Here’s a look at all the dancers getting ready to head in for the Saturday morning warm up. If you were there check and see if I ran into you!
LADM Greenville got a special surprise when the guys from Dead Off Center showed up to perform before the faculty show! I also tagged along with them to a trip to the Greenville Children’s Hospital where they got to do a live acoustic performance for some of the kids. It was so much fun and a totally awesome experience!
Dallas I hope you are pumped for a visit from DOC!
New Jersey was a blast this weekend! So many talented dancers and and amazing classes…and it snowed! I may or may not have freaked out like a little kid when I saw the snow.
As always the faculty and high point performers totally brought it in the faculty show, check out our very own Matt Dorame’s solo here:
Can’t wait to see everyone in Dallas this weekend!
Hey everyone! So we can all agree that the LADM merchandise this year is pretty adorable right? I thought it would be fun to show you guys a few different ways to customize your LADM merch starting with this super cool lacey effect called laddering!
For this example I chose to use the super cute “Kick Ball Change” T- shirt!

1) First cut the neck band off, starting about two inches from one side and following the curve all the way around to the other side.

2) Fold the shirt so that the back and front are divided in half, laying down a ruler to help guide the cuts you are about to make.

3) Starting from the top cut narrow strips through both sides down the back, crating a V shape.

*about one finger width wide is a good guideline*

4) Once you’ve finished cutting, go along each strip and stretch it so it becomes skinny and the edges curl.

5) Now you can start weaving the strips! Pull strip #2 under and then over strip #1, so that they are twisted together. Hold on to strip #2 and do the same up and over with strip #3. Continue this pattern all the way down with all of the strips.

6) When you reach the end, cut the last strip in half and tie it to the strip above to make sure it won’t unravel.

Viola! Now you can rock your totally customized LADM T-shirt!

The Santa Clara Juniors look like they had an amazing time taking ballet with Albert!
